雖然我唔係啲個個月會換電話嘅人，但係自問奇怪嘅玩具(Gadget)有唔少。而且通常都係本著「貴買長用」嘅心態（但呢個theroy唔係好work），買啲中偏高價位嘅嘢，年終敗家唔少。

I’m not someone who will buy a new cell phone every month, but I must admit I have bought quite a number of gadgets ever since. And most of time, as I believe “Quality model will last longer” (and it turns out that doesn’t quite work as expected), I usually picked something in mid-high end. Ya, so end up I’m spending quite a lot.

敗家嘅嘢就無謂數啦，數到過年都未數完。

Let’s not count the useless stuff I have bought, or we won’t finish counting in 2009.

So if you have dug through my blog, you should know that I have been typing in Dvorak for 7 straight years. I have made a few conversions (U classmates) and I am not looking back!

如果你翻過我的Blog的話，該知道我已經用Dvorak打字差不多有七年。其間還感染了數位大學同學轉離QWERTY陣營。七年過去，我完全沒有要回歸QWERTY的意思！

Recently on Facebook I learned that my boss’s boss is also proud of adopting Dvorak. Yaaah! Great minds think alike!

前幾天在Facebook上看見我老闆的老闆也很自豪地說正在轉投到Dvorak陣營中。Yaaah! 果然係英雄所見略同。

早幾日喺Facebook上面見到我老闆個老闆好自豪咁宣揚轉投Dvorak陣營中嘅事實。Yaaah! 果然係英雄所見略同。

And as my laptop was still in the depot, I am now using my backup (T40). Few years ago, when univesity life was so great, I (actually with my converted friend who also owned a Thinkpad) rearranged the keys around and make it reflecting the Dvorak layout, mostly. Only mostly because the Trackpoint is around the G, H and B keys, and F & J keys cannot be moved because of the different spring mechanism below (and I don’t want to move it either because of the notches), well so ends up there are 9 keys out of 47 Alphanumberic/Symbol keys not in their Dvorak position. Score 1 for confusing anyone who want to borrow my computer just a second (but never a second) to check the email. Haha.

而我的筆記本還在修理中，現在只好用上我的舊Thinkpad T40勉強撐蓍過日子。好幾年前（大學生活多美好啊），我和另一個已轉換和有Thinkpad的朋友都將鍵盤的每個鈕來了個乾坤大挪移，盡量反映出Dvorak的排列。為何是「盡量」呢？因為Trackpoint的原故，G、B、H鍵都不能動，而F、J鍵底下的機械結構是跟別的不一樣的，反正因為那個凸點我也不想移它，結果嘛，整塊鍵盤當47個英數符鍵中就有9個並不是Dvorak的排列。進一步達到轉換Dvorak的目的 — 迷惑那些「借一分鐘（而永遠不是一分鐘）來查查Email」的人，嘿嘿嘿。

而我部Laptop仲喺廠，而家唯有拎住部舊Thinkpad T40頂住檔過日辰。好幾年前（大學嘅時光真係過得特別快），我同另一個轉咗Dvorak同都有Thinkpad嘅朋友都將Keyboard上面每粒掣來個乾坤大挪移，盡量反映返Dvorak嘅排列。點解只係「盡量」呢？因為Trackpoint嘅關係，G、B、H都無得郁，而F同J佢地下面嘅機械結構同其他掣係唔同嘅，而反正因為個凸位我都唔想郁佢，結果嘛，就係47粒英數符號掣當中有9粒並唔係Dvorak嘅排列。進一步達到轉換Dvorak嘅目的 — 就係為嗰啲「借一分鐘（但無一次係一分鐘）來Check Check Email」嘅人帶來無限驚喜，嘿嘿嘿。

2005年十月，因為壞火牛，在人生路不熟的Rice University, Houston，跟IBM Repair Center周旋和失去Thinkpad T40 6個星期，平日屈居Computer Lab，數以十小時嘅英語電話會話訓練，仲打爆咗個電話Plan。

October 2005, because the AC adapter went bad, I lost my laptop for 6 weeks was forced to deal with the IBM repair center with an unfamiliar language, in an unfamiliar place – Rice University, Houston. I became an usual visitor to the Computer Lab, I got the chance to practice my English telephone conversation for ten plus hours, and I managed to use up all the cellphone calling plan minutes.

當時正值那台Thinkpad T40 2年機多少少。

I was some time after the 2 years birthday of my Thinkpad T40.

今日2009年十二月，到我部Thinkpad T61p死咗啦…

Long time no blog. Too much thing going on. Work and games can never be finished, not to mention anime and comics.

近十年沒有寫過Blog。太忙太多事。永遠有做不完的工作和玩不完的遊戲，動畫和漫畫更是甭提……

One side work I am spending the leisure time at is the RepRap (RepStrap to be exact) project. Oh yeah, did I mention I have built a desktop milling machine and the repstrap is built based on that? So today, I finally have a functional object printed. It’s the flow controller knot of the shower water faucet! (I actually don’t know how it’s called). This tap is one of the two reprap fixable broken furnitures in the new home that I moved into two weeks ago.

今日有興致放個Post，因為今日終於印出第一件實用品 - 就是浴室花灑的水流控制器……其實我不太知道那個東西該怎麼叫。這個話說是前兩個星期搬到這個新屋，有些東西壞掉了，這個水龍頭是兩樣可以靠reprap修正的其兩一樣。
